What is Gold or Silver gilding?

Gilding is the finish that is on the edges of the paper of the Bible or book. GOLD or SILVER gilding is a metallic looking finish. It is the same as what is on the deluxe Bible. You can click here for an example (close the picture to come back here)

How do I get my Bible and or Books to you?

For shipping from Canada to us:
Use the regular postal service to ship the bibles to us. Package them carefully so that they don't slip into one another while in the box/envelope. Click here for a page you can print out to attach to your parcel.

For shipping from USA to us:
It's best to use the regular postal service to ship the bibles to us.
Package them carefully so that they don't slip into one another while in the box/envelope

When you give postmaster the parcel he/she will ask you for a description of the contents.
Please write "bible for repair and return code #51" in the “List of contents” area on the  slip they provide.  They will ask you for a value on the bible.  Since the bible is not purchased (it's a donation) there is no commercial value attached to it.  In this box write NCV  or leave it blank - do not give a value to the Bible
This is so customs understands that we are not purchasing the bible(s) but rather repairing and then returning it.

If you would like the parcel to arrive quicker to our location then send it via “airmail” this is the more costly method.

Never ship UPS or FEDEX or DHL unless you give the parcel a value of no more than $10 and explain to them that the Bible is for “temporary import into Canada”

Click here for a page you can print out to attach to your parcel.

My Bible has lines and or small marks in the leather

The patterns and lines on your hand are not the same as anyone else's. Neither are any two hides of leather the same. There is no refining process used to make leather, and there is no special mixture made, then poured, to make perfectly square and blemish-free hides. Our premium top-grain leather is no different, each hide of leather we use is unique. The color and the grain may be the same, but each hide is from a completely separate animal. When a hide is split, the top layer is called top-grain. This layer is the top layer of the skin and will show any scars which may appear. Though the top grain is the most natural and beautiful layer, bug bites, barbed-wire marks, stretch marks, and brands all may be visible.
We strive for high quality, but also must be economical with the way we cut each hide into the individual covers. We do this to allow everyone the same great price, and not have to offer different levels of quality based solely on the cut of leather. We select pieces of leather which do not have any large blemishes, such as brands or ugly scars, but the occasional burr or stretch mark may be visible on the finished product. If you see these marks, you may take it as proof that you are, in fact, receiving your bible bound in the highest quality top-grain leather available.
We hope you take as much pride in your leather bound book as we take in making each and every one of them, and enjoy it for years to come.
